How far ye have fallen Jeff Rubenstein. :(
Insomniac say "Xbox One Exclusive Sunset Overdrive is "The Opposite of The Last of Us."
The Last of Us is excellent, unique and unforgettable.
There's nothing wrong with reporting this, but the way it's reported has a touch of flamebait about it.
Brilliant article title!
I don't know which will be best but you wait ages for a racing game then three come along at once. I bet if one of the publishers released their game at a different less crowded time it would benefit from much better sales.
The clique of so called game journalists chat amongst themselves at their beer-swilling press junkets and have decided that the narrative of this is that it is a disappointment before actually reviewing it.
Haters gonna hate but I'm love poking forward to it.
Saw a preview film of Never Alone, looks really good.

Ori and the Blind Forest also looks special

Quantum Break looked good but I expected more interaction from the playable section

Rereading my own comment i didn't make it clear enough in the second para that I was referring to a new IP.
Changes are good but when you have a website editor like Stephen Totilo championing one console over another you know that he is not doing his job to be unbias.
Little Big Planet 4?
Seriously. I think this could be the game their main team has been working on and I'm thinking it could be very unique.
In the UK (and many other countries) Microsoft have an exclusive partnership with EA. Part of this stems from the deep friendship that Phil Spencer and Peter Moore. What this means is that FIFA football when advertised on TV only shows the Microsoft logo at the end.
The same goes for the EGX show last week. EA games like Dragon Age were only shown on Xbox One - that's how deep the sponsorship money runs! Microsoft are paying EA to not demonstrate their game on PlayStation...
AMAZING NEWS! I must trade in last year's model.
Microsoft certainly haven't got a VR product near completion. The reason for saying this is to make gamers who are thinking of buying a PlayStation 4 because of Morpheus think twice.
However Spencer has demonstrated with the Kinect that he will drop support in a second if there is bad publicity which sucks for the people who have invested time and money in the platform.
"Phil Spencer Is Committed to The Success of Xbox One."
So is Polygon & Kotaku.
The author needs to learn English. To accuse Sony of 'smoke and mirrors' is to imply their 10 million plus sales figures are a deliberate deception of the public - but this isn't the case.
Good article Adam Cook, this is a topic worthy of discussion.
It seemed like the XBO was rush released to match the PS4. As such there were a lot of problems with the XBO user interface that required urgent attention, especially when Kinect was killed off, where as the PS4 launched and it ran well enough.
I don't buy a console in the hope of PC-like features being added with firmware. However nearly a year on and Microsoft are churning monthly updates. W...
STORY UPDATE: It's been postponed.
I went to see ticket prices and the webpage says "Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has been necessary to postpone the rePLAY Symphony of Heroes concert at The SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 26 September. Due to limited availability of dates at the current venue, the performance by the legendary Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Choir will be moved to a venue & date TBC soon."
Which suggest the venue...
I'm so glad this is all coming out. I've taken the time to read these emails and it demonstrates that so called professional journalists from the biggest gaming sites like Kotaku and Polygon are members of a once-secret mailing group and they colluded in agreeing to make the editorial decision to not write about any journalistic wrong doing in the hope that gamers would lose interest. They also talked about clubbing together to buy Zoe Quinn a gift to cheer her up after the bad press ...
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE ULTERIOR MOTIVE OF THIS ARTICLE
Regardless of whether you think Destiny is or isn't boring ISN'T the issue.
Five months ago a 'journalist' from Kotaku playing Destiny for 45 minutes was not enough to pass judgement on the final quality of the game. Sure you can form a first impression but to pre-review a game like that shows a lack of professionalism and demonstrates that the reviewer hasn't done their job of evaluating a ti...
That's a nice price. Do you get the preorder bonuses with the UK digital version?
